There is an infinite amount of history, culture, and religion in Varanasi. The Hindu deity Lord Shiva is said to have founded the city, which is more than 3,000 years old. This sacred city, often referred to as Benaras, is the epicenter of all religious activities. This full-day private city trip includes the famous temples of Varanasi. Itinerary
05:30 A.M.: Pickup in Varanasi from the hotel and the airport
Enjoy a sunrise boat trip on the holy Ganges River following a 5:30 AM pickup from your Varanasi accommodation. See the riverbank rituals being performed in the morning.
Note: Your pickup time determines the morning boat ride.
9:30 AM: Old City Boat Ride and Quick Walk
After the boat trip, take a quick walking tour with your guide through the alleyways of the ancient city to see one of the holiest Hindu temples, Kashi Vishwanath.
10:00 AM: Breakfast
At 10:00 AM, make your own breakfast stop before continuing on to Banaras Hindu University (BHU).
11:00 PM: Take a Tour of Other Monuments
BHU, which was founded in 1916, has Asia's largest university campus. Explore the site and take in the new Vishwanath Temple (Birla Temple), a perfect reproduction of the original Vishwanath Temple, as well as the Bharat Kala Bhavan Museum. Proceed to the Mother India Temple, which was constructed in 1918 and contains a unique plan of the Indian subcontinent in marble relief.
1:00 PM: Lunch
Discover Varanasi's silk weaving customs before stopping for lunch (at your own expense).
2:00 PM: Go to Sarnath
After lunch, you would be transported to Sarnath, which is about eight miles (13 km) away, to see the Dhamekh Stupa, which is where Buddha delivered his first speech. Additionally, you will visit the Archaeological Museum, which is closed on Fridays and houses artifacts from the third century BC. After Sarnath tour back to Varanasi for evening Aarti Ceremony.
05:30 PM: Return to Varanasi and take in the boat trip and Aarti ceremony.
Return to Dashashwamedh Ghat to witness the evening Ganga Aarti ceremony after taking another Ganges boat trip at 5:30 PM to see the cremation grounds.
07:30 PM: Drop off at the Varanasi hotel or airport
Around 7:30 PM, you will be dropped off at your hotel to conclude your tour.
